A GREAT WEEK WITH OLD FRIENDS!

Week two was a sort of family reunion.   Most of our guests were returnees from the eight years of our tenure at the UM House.  We spent hours on the porch, sometimes up to 11:00 PM (unheard of at Chautauqua) solving the world's problems and discussing the latest books we had read the past year.     Our chaplain of the week was Rev. Ron Hoellein and his wife Joyce.  They led us on thought provoking dialogue and lighthearted banter on the porch and parlor during the holiday week.

Something was missing this past week and that was the absence of Mary Lou and Bill Grove.  We wish them good health and peace.

EIGHTH YEAR OF THIS BLOG: AND HERE WE GO...................................2016 SEASON!

"This year we are revamping the UM House Blog to include a collage of photo experiences our guests were a part of."

We started off the year with the Bishop of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, Thomas Bickerton.  His outgoing personality and engaging conversation set a positive tone for the 2016 Season at the House.
